Integrating the right types of technology into our classrooms at each age level is something that we carefully consider each school year. Technology is not necessarily something that is required for their healthy development; however, we acknowledge that as your child continues in school, there are certain skills that they need to develop in order to be successful long-term. Therefore, our use of technology in the classroom is progressive.

Our preschool may finish their day with a short learning video during pick-up that ties into their classroom learning that day. The middle grades learn to use computers and tablets for educational programs during centers or for demonstrations that tie into curriculum standards. Our upper grades use laptops and tablets for purposes such as using educational apps, making blogs, creating videos, researching project topics, taking assessments, word processing, and creating presentations. It is important to our school leadership that a balance is there in using the right types of technology for skill building purposes, and not for entertainment.
